Reckless Run Off

Posted: August 15, 2014 in Uncategorized

For those who don’t understand the “Run Off Elections” issue here is an example:
3 Parties go up for a constituency 1000 people vote in a constituency.
Party A -450votes- 45%. Party B-250votes- 25%, Party C-150votes-15% Party D-150votes-15%.

No Party Crossed 50%, so there will be a Second Election in 15 days (aka Run-Off Election) between the 2 top Parties (A and B in this case).

800 former voters are upset that they have to now re vote and don’t bother to vote, so only 200 vote in the Run Off.

Run Off Election Results- Party A 80votes-40%. Party B 120votes- 60%.
Party B has won the Run off, so their MP will take office with 120 votes even though Party A had 450 votes initially.
In the Rat’s ass is that more “Democratic?”
